PETE MARSTON
August 26, 1928 – January 17, 2017
AMBER LOVE 19-JAN-2017 I am tremendously saddened by the news of Pete Marston’s passing. Pete was a fun old guy. I loved the couple of visits he shared with us at Comic Fusion. His family is always sweet and generous to my inquiries about how they’re doing. Pete even helped me out before crowdfunding was a thing when I was living alone and had no one to really help. We used to exchange letters back then through snail mail. I’d print out pics of me in the outfit and keep him updated on the things I was doing. This is such a big loss to geek culture and friends. My heart is with the family.
One of Pete’s visit was to our Wonder Woman Day charity event (later called Superhero Weekend) at Comic Fusion. He said I was the best Wonder Woman he’d ever seen — which being the kind person he was, I’m sure he said to every Wonder Woman he ever met. That’s how he was. He asked me to autograph his shirt <3
Bethel Funeral Home will receive friends of the family from 12 p.m.to 3 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 21, at 215 Greenwood Ave. In lieu of flowers, the family asked that donations in his memory be sent to the Bethel Police Benevolent Association (PBA), P.O. Box 169, Bethel CT 06801.
