2024 Bobcat Reports Filed with NJDEP

I’m excited to announce that we have had 30 confirmed Bobcat (Lynx rufus) sightings here at the Winchester-Nabu estate in 2024! Now that we have 5 trail cameras, it’s been a fantastic experience to see how many different species of wildlife (and domestic wanderers) come through the backyard. I do wish it were safer for all of them without this growing volume of vehicular traffic. That’s only one issue; there are plenty more like habitat loss, over-development of land, noise pollution, air traffic and street traffic, etc. Honestly, the list can go on.

If you are in New Jersey, anyone can file reports on evidence for species which are Endangered, Threatened, or listed as Special Concern.
