NOV 5, 2010 EDISON, NJ – I just returned from my first trip to Exxxotica which is an adult (yes, “porn”) convention. This was the first time I had ventured to anything like that and I did it all by myself. I’ll be passing along the info to the Great Goddess at CosplayDeviants to see if we, as a group, can have a booth next year. It seems like a really fun show in desperate need of nerdy influence. And, let’s face it, if a con needs to be nerded up, I’m just the one to do it. As I handed out my card, I think people were actually surprised at a.) my candor and b.) the mini gallery on it which highlights some of my comic book costumes. Yep, nerdy and proud! But you know that already.

When I walked in from the Ladies Free Friday check-in, the first booth I happened upon was TORI BLACK, the star of Batman XXX! And there was only one person in front of me! I had expectations of fake persona barely disguised but either she’s one helluva actress or she really is a nice person. I got to talk to her for a couple of minutes and told her how much fun the Batman XXX was; P.S. – she told me there will be sequels. I picked up her last copy of Superheroes which was also recommended by my dear friend Bunche of the Vault of Buncheness blog who reviewed the Batman movie for me here at AmberUnmasked. Bunche reviews porn better than I ever could. Plus, we seem to have the same taste in women. Curves are great but natural is what counts. I mentioned to Tori that I was also looking to meet LEXI BELLE and she pointed me in the right direction so off I went, leaving Catwoman for Batgirl. Yum.

Since I never really mentioned it and my viewing of the movie was fairly recent (Thanks, Josh!) the Batgirl and Robin scene was my favorite part. There was quite a wait at Lexi’s booth. I guess timing really is everything. As I suspected, she is just a wee thing. What really got these ladies into my good graces was that they both reacted my boobs. “OOoooo, boobies!” was squealed. I laughed. Hey, mine are old and real and stuffed into a leopard print bra gushing from a vinyl catsuit. LOL! I thought they were just adorable to even smile no less seem genuinely interested in my boobs.

I strolled about and it’s not really that big of a show considering I’m used to comic cons. I found it really freaky that people were stopping me to ask to take my picture. Maybe I look like I’m somebody. I don’t know. I think it was just the shiny suit and googles. There was a giant penis shaped mechanical bull with girls riding it. I saw a seesaw with dildos being operated by models too. When I saw the custom cars and motorcycles I paused and took a lot of pics. I might not know a lot about cars but I know what I like. The one car in particular had a katana inside the driver side door and had an incredible paint job. Another was painted in pirate schemes with the sound system rear speakers decked out like a pirate chest. The motorcycle that caught my eye was a poker/wild west theme bike which was quite spectacular (as the $90k pricetag exclaimed). As you walk about you would see random mattresses with models on them which would allow you to pose; also plenty of poles and dancers but only one swing which was quite cool since it was unique.

I also stopped by the best quality clothing booth, Timeless-Trends corsets. They had a lot of underbust cinchers and corsets and the gentleman took measurements which he wrote down on a brochure for everyone coming in. They use steel boning rather plastic which is duly noted in the $99-$150 price of quality corsets. This Austin, TX based company travels to various conventions so be sure to look them up. The other booths that had any kind of clothing had pretty standard/mediocre lingerie or T-shirts. This was the booth for serious clothes and quality. They had a white rose cincher that I simply fell in love with. I also had my eye on a cute plaid number.

Eventually I found an artist by the name of SAGA MOOR who had some interesting erotica paintings on display. He was working on a new piece right at his booth. It was different than the PG cheesecake I’m used to enjoying because he actually showed orgasms and penetration with a tasteful flair. He does much more than erotica though. Check out his gallery and you’ll see some brilliant use of color in pieces that are bold and soothing.

Finally, I was just standing around (yes, tweeting) and Ron Jeremy showed up. He seemed like a nice enough guy. People swarmed quickly but were respectful keeping a perimeter so that everyone could have a chance going up to him in no particular order to get pictures. I stayed to the side tweeting because that’s what I do. Then someone had the gall to fondle my thigh while my hands were busy with my phone… and after a stern lecture since I was too busy to break his fingers, I left. I wouldn’t let that sour my enjoyment though. I was all alone and had an hour drive so it was just the motivation I needed to get home and blog all about my first Exxxotica.
